We both do! In fact, much of our work is a collaborative or tag team effort - For example, Craig throws all the ceramic forms & Britt is responsible for adorning them. However some pieces are completely solo creations.
Yes, we are always open to commissions & custom requests.
However, we only accept customs if we are 100% confident that we will be able to successfully execute your request.
Please visit our Let’s Collaborate page to submit a request.
We are located on beautiful San Juan Island, WA.
We dream of having our own studio space, but for now we are happily creating in a few places.
We are fortunate enough to share studio space with other island glass artists & are proud members of the Alchemy Art Center, where we fire all of our ceramic work.
To shop directly from us, you can find us at the SJI Farmers Market & Roche Harbor Resort's Artist Village during the summer months.
To see a list of our upcoming shows, gallery & retail spaces, check out our LLS in the Wild page.
We are happy to personalize any order for easy gifting!

You will receive an email notification with tracking info when it ships.
We are happy to ship anywhere, however please note that international shipping costs can vary greatly due to specific country shipping requirements.
The customer is responsible for any additional fees, customs, import tax etc.
Any shipping adjustments will be invoiced via email prior to shipment.
See our Shipping Policy for more info.
The USPS has been dealing with unprecedented volumes & underfunding the past few years -delays may happen.
Once your order leaves us, it is literally out of our hands & control. We kindly ask you to be patient & keep checking your tracking info.
Although this rarely happens, sometimes things can get damaged in transit. Contact us within 7 days to initiate a claim through USPS for reimbursement.
It’s a good idea to photograph not only the broken item, but also the packaging, as USPS will require proof of damage for your claim.
Please note that your claim will only cover the total price of the damaged item(s), not the shipping costs.
We will help you navigate your claim, but to be clear, your reimbursement will come from USPS, not LLS.
See our Shipping Policy for more information.
Cancellations are accepted within 24 hrs of your purchase - just email us at info@livinglargesmall.com
Short Answer: No, we do not.
Most of our products are very fragile & require careful packaging - there’s simply too much risk for breakage to accept returns.
See our Refund Policy for full details.
Shipping fragile items can be tricky & requires additional packing materials to ensure they arrive in one piece.
Shipping rates are calculated per item.
If your order includes multiple items, we will do our best to package & ship them together, which likely means lower shipping fees. However, this is not always possible when dealing with fragile items.
This means that you may receive an additional invoice or refund for any changes in shipping fees. You will be notified via email, at the time of shipping.
Check out our Shipping Policy for more info.
All of our mugs are made of a beautiful red, mid-range stoneware.
All of our vessels & glazes are food safe.
You can safely use them but here’s our disclaimer: we do not recommend microwave or dishwasher use, as specific testing for these uses has not been done.
Hand washing is the best way to ensure that your mug has a long, happy life - free of chips or cracking.
Dishwasher & Microwave use is not recommended.
You will receive the exact mug shown in the product listing photos unless otherwise noted in the product description.
For example: Made-to-order mug listings do not include pictures of the exact mug you will receive, but instead demonstrate the form & glaze style of the mug you are pre-ordering. This will be clearly noted in the product description.
Sgraffito refers to a technique where slip or glaze is applied to a piece (prior to firing) and then scraped away to reveal/create designs.
According to Wikipedia, ‘the word sgraffito is derived from the Italian word graffiare (‘to scratch’).’
